As I have said earlier we appreciate any feedback even negative.I want to respond to the negative ratings though and answer any questions that were raised.
One star rating for lack of a "mobile" version of Crypt Guardian 2
First off, that's a very reasonable request. A mobile version of CG2 would be a nice addition and if enough requests came in for this we would certainly consider offering one. In our experience lately though PDA/Mobile computing is in a decline. It's an expensive proposition to fully develop for mobile without justification. There is also no way at this point to create a mobile CG2 that would look or feel anything like the desktop version. The tools just don't exist.Overall I don't understand why this warrants a one star for the desktop version but that is noted. We will have to investigate HIPAA support for the product. One star rating for lack of a "portable" version of Crypt Guardian 2 and slow performance
Again not sure why this warrants a one star rating. We actually had intended on having a version that will run off a portable drive (USB/Jump/Etc) and may be offering one in the future if we can find a way to license this method. If a program is movable across machines it really becomes a loss of revenue. Anyone can give it away and it will run on everyone else's machine for free.
We admit the interface of CG2 is "fat" as in fat client. This was mostly by design. Many advanced grids and other rich controls are used throughout the program. Performance and especially startup time may suffer slightly on older hardware. A multiple user version is on our radar.
We welcome feedback on this rebuttal...

Re: One "Star" Reviews
You're right-"PDA/Mobile computing is in a decline" thats why according to Business Week July 9 & 16 2007 article "As any Blackberry or Treo owner knows, all of the 25 million smartphones sold last year offer similar capabilities..." page 90
25 million is a decline in PDA/Mobile computing for sure.

Re: One "Star" Reviews
Unfortunately when writing a blog sometimes it needs to be kept short. When I said Mobile computing was in decline I guess that was a little too general... What I meant was we found that companies like Dell were no longer selling PDAs and they were quite scarce in computer stores. But the main concern was even owners of Smart phones were not that interested in an application like Crypt Guardian running on it. Like I said in the original post if we have enough demand for it we would be very happy to sell a few copies for mobile. I have a Dell Axim x51v that I use far less than I would have hoped and do not have a password/account manager on it at all. Please let us know if you are interested in a version of CG2 on Mobile platforms.
Thank You Mike H
