Mosasaur* is a collection of IIS 7 tools for bulk web site/application pool creation, configuration file backups, and other useful IIS 7 related functions. Mosasaur is available free but donations are encouraged for adding new features and updates.

Version 2 is currently being tested on Windows 7 and IIS 7.5 on Windows Server 2008 R2 before release!!!

Mosasaur needs some important ingrediants to run.

The most obvious is IIS7. Without it there is nothing for Mosasaur to do.

Mosasaur only runs on Windows server 2008 and Vista (not XP, NT, Linux or anything else)

Mosasaur 2 will also be tested for 2008 R2 and Windows 7

Due to advanced coding practices it needs .Net Framework 3.5 with SP1 available here.

  Mosasaur 1 only runs on Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista with .Net Framework 3.5. IIS 7 also needs to be on the install machine in order for it to work. Mosasaur also needs to run as administrator to make changes to IIS 7. If Mosasaur immediatlyy crashes after running it one of these requirements is missing. Please let us know what other bugs you find. Please unzip the download and install the setup. After Mosasaur is installed "Right Click" the shortcut and click the advanced button on the Shortcut Tab and Check Run as administrator. That is the easiest way to make sure it runs correctly.
